Not only did I have the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people today from a photo shoot, but I also had the opportunity to experience my first raw vegan meal. Gado-Gado, an indonesian salad, that was prepared with rice, tomatoes, spinach, veganism raw ingredients, and topped with a peanut sauce.
After this delicious treat, dessert followed, not only one, but three! First on the dessert plate was Raw vegan chocolate cake with avocado glaze icing, topped with raspberries, secondly was raw vegan carrot cake with walnut frosting and orange sliver toppings, thirdly, a raw vegan chocolate treat, made with maca, and sweetened with lucuma, a subtropical fruit. All these delightful dishes were from 'The Home Ground Coffee & Roasting House' in Okotoks, Alberta, I recommend a visit.
